Okay, bets are in stone. I swung by Keeneland on the way home, and the cards fell

$1 Exacta box:
Pioneerof the Nile
General Quarters
Chocolate Candy
I Want Revenge
Friesian Fire

$1 Trifecta Box
Pioneerof the Nile
General Quarters
Chocolate Candy
Friesian Fire

$2 Exacta
Pioneerof the Nile
Advice

$2 Across board:
Regal Ransom
Desert Party

$2 Win:
Hold Me Back

That last one was the result of not being sure what to do with my last $2. Total bets: $60.

Right, so I'm not sure how much I can stand of this "whoo! let's talk about FASHION at the Kentucky Oaks" rather than the race. They are catering to women who have never seen a horse before and happened to stumble on Bravo by mistake, and I don't appreciate it. Poor Bob Neumier looked a little horrified when WhatsHerName declared that she chose her horses according to whoever has the best ass. Because she has probably never opened a program before, even though she is commentating on the event. Growl.

GO RACHEL ALEXANDRA!

Is that why Bob Neumeier collapsed? Couldn't take any more of the dumb? (I didn't see the broadcast, but I hear a lot of dumb at the track.)

OT: I LOVED KEENELAND! Thank you so much for your help! That place was bananas and so gorgeous. I can see why people go there and then think Saratoga is a dump (it's not, but that's beside the point). I'd kill to be able to go sometime in the fall. I got there in time for the third or fourth race. Better Talk Now wasn't wearing his crazy ass blinkers for the first time in maybe ever and I had a great spot to see his beautiful eyes.

I'm so glad!!!!

I never thought I would call a track other than Churchill "home," but there is NOTHING like Keeneland. There is a little less crazy in the fall, as football season draws off some of the crowd, and I think in general the spring meet is the first real point when people can get OUTSIDE, so they come in droves.

If you come in the fall, let me know! I don't know many people who are as crazy as I am (I'm like a ping pong ball all day - paddock, rail. paddock, rail. etc.), so I'd love good company.

I am crazy and bolting from paddock to rail is absolutely my bag, so that would kick ass. I'm better at it in the autumn, too! I will let you know if/when I make it out there. :D

Too bad Bob Neumier would likely get fired for asking something like "You mean the best jockey ass?"
